A teaching studio for people who will stamp drawings and walk sites
Meadowpath Structural Engineering School Ltd is the official registered business name. The school opened in Harlow in 2011 to give technicians and career changers a place to practise structural calculation with marked feedback.
Origin
Founder tutors had spent years marking university coursework and watching graduates arrive on site unable to sketch a load path without software. They rented rooms near Fold Croft, started with a single evening analysis course, and grew studio and CPD offers as local practices asked for timber and Eurocode evenings.
Today the school remains deliberately small: cohorts stay under sixteen for Foundations, tutors still mark by hand, and the address has stayed at 267 Fold Croft in Harlow, Essex.
How we teach
Pin-up crits, red-ink marking, and short tutorials. We use UK codes and domestic and light commercial examples familiar to Essex offices. Software is discussed as a check, not a substitute for first principles.
